I'm Raising Money For These Charities:

I finally tick over into 30 next year, and like a sign it's on the exact same day as Tough Guy 2009. So what better way to celebrate my time in this life than by putting any future hours at risk! Tough Guy is one of the ultimate measures of (in)sanity, and between the sub-zero underwater tunnels, flame pits and electric fences I'm seeing my next decade come in (muddy) style. Plus to add a bit more meaning I get the opportunity to raise money for a fantastic charity dedicated to ensuring many more children have a chance to do something equally as foolish when they turn 30. The Preston James Research Fund provides world-class research into life support systems specifically for children, something which can affect any child at any time, however to date has mostly focussed only on adults requirements and not needs and particularities of childrens' not yet fully developed lungs (Oh yeah, and everything raised goes to charity ... I've already covered my own entrance, flight and accommodation costs so this is 100% charity raising). Plus there's something poetic about raising needed funds to help kids breath when I'll be gasping for breath in the middle of a frozen horse paddock somewhere near Wolverhampton ...
