Mr Mouse farm for Unfortunates derives its’ name from the meeting in 1976 of Mr and Mrs Mouse. Mr Mouse formerly known as Billy Wilson. A flash genius inspired by the teachings of Jesus and Confucius's message '‘Only the humble can be leaders’ caused to agree the words of Mrs Mouse, (a true country lady) ‘Let us always live in the wonderful world of children and put aside the frailties of adults’. They commenced this charity work by taking a dozen young offenders and brought them to the farm to give them a new life looking out from the window of peace in the world of helping animals. The dozen horses they started with soon grew into a hundred and once the word spread the unwanted animals flocked to their door, as so The Horse Sanctuary (Tettenhall) was formed
